About

Estee Chan (Estacy, 陳文意) is a young illustrator & artist currently based in London who enjoys experimenting with different styles. Some of her inspirations come from: ideas when growing up, anime and videogames, Asian pop culture and history, contemporary artists, museums and toys. Recently her illustrations had become more surrealistic in a way that she likes to juxtapose objects of fantasy with reality in her unique style. Fish and rabbits seem to be the unconscious recurring elements in her recent work. She finds the inclusion natural and often humorous, and believes that her mind must be trying to tell her stories which she has yet to express… Her favourite drawing materials are simply sharp pencils and pens.

She loves tea and candy; enjoys traveling; loves meeting and working with different people around the world; and her aspiration is to make people feel happy through her ‘familiar’ but yet ‘new’ contents and ideas in her illustrations – and hopefully ’spark’ some special feelings in them.
