Loco Roco

The design is innovative and unique as it does not follow any particular genre, but is a unique genre itself. The main idea behind the game is the element of ‘gravity’ – employing gravity into the game-play and exploiting it with relation to the game mechanics to enable the player to progress through the game. Taiko no Tatsujin Portable

This is based on the hit arcade series in which small Taiko drums with red short drum sticks are used on the arcade cabinet. Essentially it is a drum ‘rhythm-action’ music game, where the main aim is to hit out various rhythms on the drum at the right beats, in sync with the groovy J-pop flowing music. (more…)
Clock Tower
This is an old survival-horror game which uses the classic ‘text-below-image’ based interface, prominent in the early text-adventure games such as Day of the Tentacle. The control is ‘point-and-click’ in a HUD-less screen. (more…)
Hotel Dusk 215: Visually unique, narratively weak
[Old post from GameSpot: Jul 1, 2007]
Hotel Dusk is another smart innovative game by Cing, based on the concept of solving mini puzzles and heavily relying on the game storyline, with various forms of interactions from the player throughout each scenario or “chapter” of the story to make it convincingly exciting to play.
Phoenix Wright: Objection!!!
[Old post from GameSpot: Jun 11, 2007]
Awesome! Good to see the new ‘Criminal/Detective’ genre a growing success – can’t wait to play ‘Hotel Dusk’ next! This kind of gameplay is really suited to the design of the DS with its stylus, but I can imagine it being equally as successful if it were initially designed for the PSP because the game plays well even without the stylus. The graphical style is ‘anime’ which complements well with the quirky and comical themes of the game! The timing of the actions, speeches from each character were just perfect, creating a dynamic storyline and punchy ‘call and response’ atmosphere that occurs in the court trials. Simply well interactive and addictive to play!

Is a PSP RPG I’d like to own, I read its quite good from Famitsu mags and the game’s battle system plays pretty much like Disgaea! Sadly it’s only released in Japan at the moment (and my japanese isn’t as good as my brother’s! who is able to play japanese games and understand every line of text and command! o_o’). Will just have to wait for the english version – that is, if they do release it here…*fingers crossed*
Hehe, this live-action commercial is real funny:

FFXI Online: Game Over
[Taken from past blog - 21 August 2006]
Meh…after a while of absence, I’ve decided to cancel my account again, since I haven’t been playing it much. I have 3 months until the server permanently deletes my account, so after November I won’t be playing anymore FFXI. My god 0_0′,… I’ll probably be busy playing FFXII instead! as it will be out later this year, hopefully
